SUMMARY:ADU Hour
DESCRIPTION:The ADU Hour provides a live\, engaging\, educational learning experience for ADU professionals and policymakers that are interested in some of the latest ADU trends and insights from ADU leaders.\n\n\nWhat is this ADU Hour all about? \nWe’re stepping into the Coronavirus vacuum with some timely\, educational and practically useful content about a topic that is near and dear to us\, ADUs. The general objective of the ADU Hour program is to help increase the supply and demand for ADUs. The live show will be free. \nThe program will be hosted by Kol Peterson and will feature a guest for each show. Kol will interview the guest for an initial interview portion of the program that will last 20-30 minutes. Then\, we’ll open up the event for participants to ask questions for up to 15 minutes. So\, the whole program could be anywhere from 20 minutes-45 minutes. \nHow much does this cost? \nIt will be free and it will be live! \n\n\n\n\nWho’s Running The ADU Hour? \nKol Peterson is the host. Kol is owner of Accessory Dwelling Strategies LLC and editor of BuildinganADU.com. \n\nMonday’s guest is an ADU designer who has worked in both Oregon and California. We’ll be talking about some ADU design best practices.\nTuesday’s guest is a prolific builder with more than decade of experience building ADUs\, following decades of tract homebuilding.\nWednesday’s guest is an appraiser who is currently conducting one of the first major studies of ADU contributory value based on sales comps. \nThursday’s guest is a property manager with a real estate background\, and a special focus on landlord tenant law and rental regulations for the owner occupied ADU community. \nFriday’s guest heads up the residential renovation & construction loan division of a bank that operates throughout the West Coast.

SUMMARY:REUSE! Box Truck Tiny House Tours & Stay Vocal Popup Shop
DESCRIPTION:Stay Vocal is setting up a popup shop and opening the doors to the owner’s Reuse! Box Truck tiny home conversion for tours at the RI VegFest!\nAbout the Box Truck conversion:\n“STAY VOCAL’s owner and reuse expert Alex Eaves has teamed up with Tiny House Expert Derek “Deek” Diedricksen to transform a 17-foot box truck into a 98-Square Foot tiny house and mobile reuse education center. This second life for the truck will provide a way for people to see the benefits of reusing and how they can reduce waste in their own lives. Alex and Deek have reused every step of the way: from the truck to the materials to screws. They will show people how\, with a little more thought and creativity\, reuse is everywhere and it’s not only beneficial to our planet\, but it benefits people and their wallets too.” \n \nAbout the Stay Vocal:\n“STAY VOCAL is a Green America certified ReUse apparel brand. With reuse apparel\, we are doing something no other brand is doing. How many times do you see T-Shirts that say “reduce\, reuse\, recycle” and they’re printed on brand new shirts? About half of our apparel line is made from brand new T-Shirts that were going to be destroyed simply because of a misprint or over printing. The other half of our apparel is found at thrift stores and through donations\, allowing us to offer more unique items. \nWe don’t just sell reuse shirts\, though. We reuse in any step that we can. Orders are printed on the back of would be recycled paper\, shipped in used packaging (mainly cereal boxes)\, with labels printed on scrap paper.”
