Learn best practices for working with your local officials to help get Tiny Homes legalized in your city or county.

Leading national advocate, Dan Fitzpatrick will be conducting a two-part webinar on How to Work with your Local Government Officials on making changes to land use ordinances and building codes to be tiny home friendly.

By purchasing one $25 ticket, you receive access to both Part 1 and Part 2 Advocacy Trainings. AND, your fee automatically gives you an annual Individual Membership to the Tiny Home Industry Association (advocating to legalize Tiny Homes as permissible and permanent housing).

ABOUT THE LEAD PRESENTER:

Dan Fitzpatrick is the President of the Tiny Home Industry Association and the Director of Government Relations for the American Tiny House Association.

Working with these organizations during the past five years, Dan has made numerous presentations to state and local governments throughout the United States.

He wrote and processed the ordinance amendments that legalized movable tiny homes as ADU’s in Fresno, San Luis Obispo, Los Angeles, San Jose, and Santa Clara County in California.

Additionally, he worked on state law changes in WA, OR, FL, NH, CA, and ME and continues to consult with local tiny home advocates around the country.

Dan has over 45 years of broad executive level management and administrative leadership experience in both the public and private sectors.

His government experience spans duties as Assistant City Manager for the City of Las Vegas and in California, as Fresno County’s Chief Administrative Officer and Executive Director of Fresno’s Redevelopment Agency.

ABOUT THE FACILITATORS:

Lindsay Wood is a tiny house dweller, consultant, and co-founder of Experience Tiny Homes. She has an MBA in Sustainable Business and MA in Leadership. She has spent the last two decades focused on promoting sustainable practices to help guide our choices towards a healthy and life-sustaining planet.

Lindsay currently serves on the Tiny Home Industry Association board of directors.

Alexis Stephens is a DIY tiny house dweller, movement ambassador, and advocate. She is also the co-founder of Tiny House Expedition, a documentary and community education project. Together with her partner, Christian Parsons, they created the acclaimed educational three-part documentary-series, Living Tiny Legally.

Alexis currently serves on the Tiny Home Industry Association board of directors and the American Tiny House Association’s board of advisors.
