Asheville City Council Meets 11/26 at 5 pm: Attend to Voice Your Support for Tiny Houses

Asheville City Council is considering a zoning change to allow movable tiny houses in the Highway Business zone. Support within the city government is quite limited. As many local residents and advocates that show up to the next meeting in support of this change, the better the chances for approval.

According to Drew Crawford, owner of Asheville-based DIY Tiny, a tiny home community at 22 Burleson Road, the change could increase the availability of tiny homes for residential use and ease the area’s shortage of affordable housing."
