As someone who helps people buy tiny houses for a living, I can tell you that there are two types of tiny home buyers: those who wish for a tiny house and those who manifest one.
What's the Difference between Wishing for and Manifesting a Tiny Home?
People often use 'manifestation,' interchangeably with the word "wishing," but this is incorrect. In fact, the two things are actually night and day. Here is a list to familiarize you with the difference.
Wishing
- Passive
- Not necessarily grounded in reality
- Not necessarily emotionally connected to desire
- Based on lack (Ex: I wish for because I don't have.)
- Isn't accompanied by action
Manifesting, on the other hand, looks very different. And if you want to buy a tiny house, it's time to flex your manifestation muscles. Here's what manifestation looks like.
Manifesting
- Active
- Grounded in some semblance of reality
- Emotionally connected to desire
- Based on abundance (Ex: I am grateful for what I know is coming my way!)
- Is accompanied by action
Here's how to manifest your tiny home.
If you want to buy a tiny house, it's time to give manifestation a shot. So grab a piece of paper and a pen because I am not kidding around; your tiny house lifestyle is at stake!
Here's what you'll need to do.
1) Get clear on your desire to buy a tiny house.
What will your tiny house look like? How much will it cost? Which tiny house builder will you choose to bring your vision to life? You can't manifest a tiny house unless you know which tiny house you desire.
Remember that the Universe is hilarious. If you are not specific about which tiny house you're looking for, you may unwittingly find yourself living in a damp basement "apartment."
So, anyway, think hard, be specific, and, most importantly, write it down.
Don't forget to write down your vision!
2) Write down your tiny house plans.
I will tell you right now that most people won't do this.
Then again, most people won't buy a tiny house. So do yourself a favor and actually do this step. I promise it makes a difference. Especially when you write your tiny house plans down in the present tense and express them with gratitude!
3) Use gratitude to acknowledge that your tiny house is already on its way.
When it comes to our goals, we are often tempted to write things like "I want to buy a tiny house in the next year." But while that's not a bad goal, it doesn't give the Universe nearly as big of a nudge as something expressing gratitude for something currently happening. Here's an example.
I want to buy a tiny house this year, is a more powerful statement when you say it like this:
I am grateful for the tiny house I am buying this year.
I want = I lack
I'm grateful for = I have
Make sense? Excellent. Now let's talk emotional engagement!
4) Feel all the feels behind your tiny house dream.
Wishing doesn't require you to be emotionally engaged, but manifesting does! So every day, when you read or rewrite your tiny home gratitude statement, feel all the feels.
Maybe your tiny house is going to save your retirement, or maybe it's going to allow you to raise a family according to your own values. Maybe your tiny house will allow you to live in an (expensive) ski town and spend your life on the slopes.
Whatever your reason for wanting to buy a tiny house, be sure to experience your emotions in technicolor because feeling deeply is a huge part of the manifestation process!

5) Take consistent action toward your tiny house goal.
If you want to manifest a tiny house, there is one more thing you'll have to do to make your tiny house dream a reality.
You need to take consistent action toward your tiny house goals.
Unfortunately, no amount of positive thinking, vibration lifting, or affirmation writing can replace good old-fashioned hard work.
That's why you must pair your mental efforts with tangible actions like applying for tiny house financing, researching tiny home certifications, and doing tiny house due diligence.
